i felt we formed a strong connection in our short meeting; we had much in common - transitioning periods in our lives, politics, and a yearning for a home. “home home.”
i described my practice and he said i’m like a moth. i thought i felt love.
i visited his studio and he gifted me a draft of a scupture he was doing for a commission. i brought it home in my handbag and decided to turn it into a portrait of us.
